Maybe after her lifeless debut in Coffee Home this was her second attempt to get noticed on the silver screen. But when she opted to move to Chennai and try her luck in Tamil films she went in for a name change and now when she returns back to Bollywood she is back to her original name Priyanka Kothari.Sadly even though the circle is complete for her yet she has been only tasting failure wherever she has gone with whatever name.īeyond the UP-Bihar cowland belt where she is an undisputed Bhojpuri Queenwa Shweta Tiwari is infamous for her hot jhatkas and matkas as these lusty item numbers are a must in almost every film of hers to draw in the crowds and have the House-Full board hanging at her theaters but in Bin Bulaye Baarati for the very first time she sheds her inhibitions and goes fulltoo lusty for the front benchers as she does a high profile item number that is several knotches more sexciting than Mallika Sherawat's item number. Even though she began her career as Priyanka Kothari in her debut film opposite Fardeen Khan in Feroz Khan's Prem Aggan she got herself a new name when Ramgopal Verma took her under his wings and relaunched her in Telegu films as Nisha Kothari with James. She has changed her name thrice since she has made her screen debut and even then she has not brushed into even the reflection of Success. Without any doubt this babe Priyanka Kothari has got to be the most confused starlet floating around in Indian Cinema. For the most part though, it will sink below the titanic with aplomb. Perhaps with a few cat calls here, a few whistles there in some dingy remote single screen theatre, BBB might just end up making some money. Then again, films like BBB too have takers.
It pains to see, though, a decently good actor in such a ludicrous film. Of the cast, Aftab is the only bearable face throughout the film. While Shweta Tiwari at least manages to garner interest for a fleeting second, Mallikas Shalu act is downright disgusting. And to add salt to injury, the movie boasts of not one but two item songs. Silly gags pass for jokes, and over the top hamming passes for performance. Rest of the cast is running after or from one of these two characters and their associates in a tale that is meant to be a comedy of errors.īBB is built on a wafer thin plot that is mostly devoid of logic or reasoning.
Starring an out-of-work-out-of-sight cast, BBB is a comedy, and like all comedy Hindi films these days, has an apology for a script.Īftab Shivdasani plays a local thief running from the police when he accidentally runs off with super villain Gulshan Grovers (yes, he still exists and thinks he is the Bad Man) diamonds. For someone wanting a decent entertainer, this is not recommended. Bin Bulaye Baraati is the kind of film which works if expectations from it are below negative.
